Epoxy casting resin is of course the most important product if you want to start creating resin art. Epoxy is a synthetic resin with many possibilities. Epoxy always consists of a liquid base component (this is the resin) and a liquid hardener. You mix these two components together and after mixing the material will harden into a rock-hard material.
It is important that you use the correct mixing ratio. The starter packs always include an extensive manual with examples. Working with epoxy is therefore not difficult at all.

Making art with epoxy is easy. Silicone molds and epoxy are the basis for this. You pour epoxy casting resin into a silicone mold and add your favorite decorations. You can pour in glitter, dried flowers, beads, ash, etc. The right silicone molds are therefore very important if you want to make art with resin art. The mold is the form in which you pour your epoxy casting resin.
The molds come in different shapes and sizes. When making jewelry you will of course need a different mold than for wind catchers or key rings . View all resin art molds here.

Working with epoxy starter kits
We have put together several complete starter kits for making jewelry, key rings, coasters and trays. A jewelry starter kit naturally has a different composition than a coaster starter kit. Choose the kit that you think is the most fun to make!
If you have ordered your epoxy starter kit, you can start working on your DIY project right after receiving it. We would like to share another point to keep in mind when working with epoxy and to ensure that your artwork is a great success.
Hardening of resin art
If you have processed epoxy, it usually takes a few hours for the epoxy casting resin to start to harden. Most epoxy types take 12-24 hours to fully cure. The time depends on the size of your creation and the layer thickness (thinner = faster) and the ambient temperature (warmer = faster).
For small resin art creations such as jewelry and key rings, you can use ready-made UV Resin . This is a special epoxy that hardens within a few minutes using UV light. With a UV epoxy resin lamp, your resin art work will harden faster, allowing you to enjoy your creation even faster.
