Making an epoxy wind catcher "Round"

Pour all the necessary epoxy shapes into the mold. The end result of this mold gives all the shapes once. You can determine the size of your wind catcher yourself by pouring more shapes.

    1. Cut 5 equal lengths of fishing line. Thread all 5 of these through the holes in the pink ring, as in the example. Thread the wires through a large bead at the top and then tie the 5 wires around the top open ring.
    2. Finish the whole thing per thread. In this example, the fishing line is threaded through twice everywhere. This way, everything can still be moved a little, but it stays in place.
    3. In photo 3 you can see how you first thread the wire double through the pink ring to then finish the wire. Here a bead was chosen, then an epoxy circle, another bead, another circle but a different size, ending with a bead.
    4. The bottom bead is finished with a button and a drop of UV Epoxy Resin to ensure that the button does not sag and the bead does not slip off the fishing line.

Epoxy wind catcher make "Sun & Stars"

Fill the molds with epoxy and wait for everything to harden. Lay everything out and make sure you have a pair of pliers to pinch the little silver balls.

    1. Cut 5 equally long wires and thread them through the blue ring as in the example. There are 10 holes, but you only use 5 wires. Gather them above the ring and slide a silver ball around it and pinch it closed. Make sure you have enough wire left to place a bead above it and attach it to a sun.
    2. The orange disk is the base for the iron rods. The wire for the iron rods you do according to the lines with number 1. From above the wire goes through the disk, then through an iron rod and back through the orange disk. You close this at the top with a silver ball and pinch it closed. Cut off the remaining wire. Do this for all 3.
A long wire passes through the middle hole through which the ball arrives to rattle against the iron bars.
The lines of number 2 are the holes through which you put 2 pieces of fishing wire where the orange disk hangs. Close these wires together with the middle wire at the top with a silver ball and make sure there is enough wire left to thread through the bead and sun.
    3. Join the whole thing together with the wire of the blue ring and thread all this joint wire through a bead and through the hole of the sun. Close this with a silver ball and squeeze it closed.
In the example 8 wires are used. The top is attached with a silver ball on top of the blue ring after which per wire is worked downwards. Use a bead with a silver ball underneath. The wire is threaded through the silver ball twice in the example, because otherwise it does not clamp well enough. The beads are hung at different heights with each a silver ball underneath and the bottom epoxy stars and moons are also closed with a silver ball.
    4. Once the wind catcher is assembled, hang the last sun on the middle wire of the orange ring where the large bead is to make the iron rods jingle. Hang the last sun at a nice height at the bottom and close it again with a silver ball and squeeze it closed. The wind catcher is now ready for use.
