By using high-quality and more expensive ingredients, this epoxy almost always hardens beautifully. Even if you do not adhere to the mixing ratio correctly or if you pour under conditions that are too cold or too warm. The UltraEpoxy is widely applicable. Applying a beautiful coating to your table, casting a large silicone mold or making a small piece of jewelry, it is all possible with the UltraEpoxy.

    High UV resistance

UltraEpoxy is one of the clearest epoxy resins. Very good UV resistance under normal conditions. With many cheap, but also more expensive epoxy you have the chance that your creation will yellow, because cheap ingredients are used.
Are you going to cast transparently or will your artwork come into contact with direct sunlight? Always add UV blocker to the epoxy mixture. This way you can be sure that your artwork or piece of jewelry will remain beautiful and will not yellow.

    Working with the UltraEpoxy

Working with the UltraEpoxy is very simple:

    1. Epoxy consists of 2 components: the resin and a hardener.
    2. Weigh how much you need (see the mixing chart below or your free information flyer with your order). For example, weigh 100 grams of resin and 60 grams of hardener and add them together in a mixing cup . Then add pigment colors for epoxy if necessary.
    3. Make sure to mix the resin and hardener very well for 3 minutes, also scraping the bottom and sides of the mixing cup.
    4. Never add too much hardener to the resin. With epoxy it is important to keep the mixing ratio right. Otherwise there is a chance that the epoxy will become soft or sticky. Cured epoxy is safe for both humans and animals.

    * This product consists of two components. So you have to mix it and let it harden. This product does not work with a UV lamp.

    Mixing scheme

This handy chart is also included in your order in the box. Do you find calculating the correct mixing ratio difficult or do you simply find it useful to have a chart at hand? In the chart below you can read exactly per gram how much base (A) and hardener (B) you need approximately to mix epoxy correctly. A few grams more or less is no problem with the UltraEpoxy premium.

What exactly is UV resistant epoxy?

UV resistant epoxy is a type that is formulated to resist the harmful effects of the sun's UV rays. Adding a UV blocker to this product is not necessary. Standard epoxy can discolor or degrade over time if exposed to too much sunlight.

UV epoxy is specially designed to minimize the negative effects of sunlight on your epoxy. This allows UV-resistant epoxy to retain its clarity, color and durability for longer. This makes this epoxy suitable for outdoor creations.

    Universal epoxy resin

UV epoxy resin is a versatile product. You can use UV epoxy resin for various surfaces and creations. Epoxy is therefore also perfectly suited for making artwork, casting table tops, laminating wood, repairing surfaces and much more.

Epoxy also offers excellent adhesion to various types of surfaces. Think of wood, metal and most plastics. This makes epoxy ideal for various applications.

    Simple mixing ratio

If you are new to creating epoxy art, it can be difficult to choose between different types of epoxy. The UltraEpoxy premium is an excellent choice if you are looking for a high quality universal epoxy. This product is suitable for any surface.

Our epoxy also has a simple mixing ratio of 100:60 and comes with a handy information flyer. It is therefore easy to use, especially for the novice artist

    Colored DIY projects

The UltraEpoxy premium is extremely clear and transparent in colour. With pigment you can mix epoxy and colours with each other, making it easy to create the right colours. Discover our wide range of colour pigments for epoxy.

    UV blocker epoxy

For the best results in transparent applications, you can add a UV blocker to epoxy. The UltraEpoxy premium is well protected against UV light, but when pouring transparently we always advise to add a UV blocker. A UV blocker prevents yellowing in the long term caused by UV radiation.

    For coating your creations

This epoxy is also suitable for coating. The UltraEpoxy premium is a high-quality versatile transparent epoxy. You can use this epoxy for finishing tables, tiles, kitchen countertops and much more. This transparent epoxy has good adhesion to almost all surfaces, which makes it ideal for coatings.

    How much should you use?

How much epoxy you need depends on the size of your project and the application. For applying a coating you need about 250 grams per m2 per layer, on wood it is common to apply 2-3 layers.

For casting epoxy in a mold, you use approximately 1 kilo of epoxy per millimeter of layer thickness per m2. The product pages of the silicone molds state exactly how much epoxy you need to fill the mold. For shapes such as squares, bars, rectangles and circles, you can use standard formulas.

    • Calculate the volume of rectangles and squares: length in cm x width in cm x layer thickness in cm x 1.1 (specific weight): 1000 = number of kilograms of epoxy resin.
    • Calculate volume of circles: 3.14 (pi) x radius in cm (half diameter) x radius in cm x layer thickness in cm x 1.1 = number of kilograms of epoxy.
