Silicone Mold Egg

    Description

Silicone mold for making an egg shaped sphere epoxy.

Small ball mold is available in 3 sizes. The mold consists of 1 part that you can cast in layers or in one go. So you make an egg work of art with a flat bottom, so that it can stand stable when it is finished.
There is a large hole at the top of the mold into which you can pour the epoxy casting resin.

Made of flexible silicone, so it is easy to use and can be reused multiple times. Cannot be put in the oven or dishwasher.

    Silicone mold egg/sphere casting

    1.
Measure where your decorations and creation will be placed in the sphere before you start pouring. In this example, a dragon is cast in an egg.
    2. Make a layer in the bottom of the mold (this will soon be the top) with epoxy (choose the most UV-resistant resin if you are going to make a transparent casting such as the UltraEpoxy ). In this example, epoxy has been poured with some stones
    3. Add decorations and move them into place with a tweezers . You can center something in the middle by placing a skewer on top of the ball and attaching something to it that then hangs in the resin. Keep in mind that whatever you place in the mold will come out the other way around.
    4. After 48 hours, remove your creation from the mold by carefully wringing the mold loose for 30-60 seconds and rubbing it between your hands. If necessary, use soap and water to wring the mold loose. You then squeeze the egg out of the mold. Do not pull the mold loose if it is stuck: you will destroy it.

1 . Do you want to use epoxy that is very easy to process? Then choose our UV Resin . This epoxy is ready to use and hardens within a few minutes using UV light. You let this resin dry in direct sunlight or under a UV lamp.
2 . You can also choose the Epoxy casting resin 1:1 or UltraEpoxy , these epoxy resins are very easy to use and suitable for larger surfaces.
