Silicone mold for making a round sphere with epoxy
This silicone ball mold is available in 2 variants. One diameter of 25 mm and one of 48 mm. The mold consists of 2 parts that you can put together. You can make a pendant with the small mold.
Made of flexible silicone, so it is easy to use and can be reused multiple times. Cannot be put in the oven or dishwasher.
Mold dimensions
Dimensions variant 1: diameter sphere 25 mm
Dimensions variant 2: diameter sphere 48 mm
Mold contents: approximately 20 and 40 grams of epoxy
Cast the sphere in one go with epoxy
1. Fill the sphere with epoxy resin (choose the most UV-resistant resin if you are going to make a transparent casting such as the UltraEpoxy ).
2. Place the 2 parts on top of each other and secure the edges together with your hands. Glue the edges on the outside with glue, which you can then loosen. You do this so that the mold is properly closed and the resin cannot come out.
3. Pour the epoxy resin from above through the hole.
4. After 48 hours, remove your creation from the mold by very carefully loosening the 2 parts. If necessary, use soap and water to wring the mold loose. There will be glue/epoxy residue on the edges of your creation where the 2 parts meet. remove this with a pair of cutting pliers.
Cast the sphere in 2 parts with epoxy
1. Fill 1 part with epoxy resin. Choose the most UV-resistant resin if you are going to make a transparent casting such as UltraEpoxy. If you are going to cast an object, you can place it at the right height in the middle by attaching it to skewers. If you do not do this, your object will harden on the bottom / crookedly.
2. Place the 2 parts on top of each other and secure the edges together with your hands or glue the edges on the outside with glue that you can then loosen. You do this so that the mold is properly closed and the resin cannot come out.

Need epoxy?
