Silicone Mold Cylinder

    Description

Silicone mold for making a cylinder.

The mold consists of 1 part that you can pour in layers or in one go. So you make a cylindrical artwork with a flat bottom, so that it can stand stable when it is finished. For example, you can make a cool night light or incorporate flowers.
There is a large hole at the top of the mold where you can pour the filler.

Made of flexible silicone, so it's easy to use and can be reused multiple times. Not oven or dishwasher safe.

Dimensions of the mold: 12 x 6.5 cm
    Contents of mold: unknown
Suitable for: epoxy, plaster, jesmonite and candles

    Method:

    1. Measure where your decorations and creations will fit into the cylinder come to a standstill before you start pouring.
    2. Make a layer in the bottom of the mold (this will later become the top) with epoxy (choose the most UV resistant resin if you are going to make a transparent casting such as the UltraEpoxy ).
    3. Add decorations and secure them in place with a tweezers . You can center something in the middle by placing a skewer on top of the ball and attaching something to it that then hangs in the resin. Keep in mind that what you put in the mold now will come out the other way.
    4. Remove your creation from the mold after 48 hours by very carefully wringing the mold loose for 30-60 seconds and rubbing it between your hands. If necessary, use a soap and water solution to wring the mold loose. You then press the egg out of the mold. Do not pull the mold loose if it is stuck: you will break it.

    Need epoxy?

The use of suitable epoxy is important for the end result of your project. We recommend using UltraEpoxy Large Castings epoxy for this type of mold. Easy to use and specially designed for casting large and deep surfaces. This epoxy hardens at an average speed so that you can cast thick layers of epoxy up to 6 cm thick in one go. It hardens crystal clear and has the highest UV resistance. We also recommend this epoxy for casting large tables such as tree trunk tables and river tables.
